Chocolate Almond Butter Smoothie

Serves 1 large smoothie | Gluten free, dairy free, vegan option

Ingredients

· 1 ½ frozen banana
· 1 medjool date, pitted
· 1 ½ tbsp almond butter
· 1 scoop ISO Whey Chocolate Protein Powder
· 1 tbsp hemp seeds
· 1 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
· 1 cup milk of choice (e.g. soy, almond, or coconut)
· ½ cup coconut water

Method

1. Add everything to a blender and blitz until smooth. Add more liquid upon your desired texture.
2. Enjoy immediately.

Tips

· Add 1 tsp of cacao nibs for boost in magnesium.
· Replace almond butter with another nut or seed butter.
· For extra creaminess, add a scoop of full-fat coconut or greek yogurt.
· For a recovery smoothie, add a scoop of L-Glutamine.
· Easily replace the coconut water with additional milk or plain water.
· If allergy or sensitive to dairy, you can replace the ISO whey with either Pumpkin Seed Protein, Hemp Seed Protein, or Brown Rice Protein. This will change the flavour slightly. Add an additional tbsp of cacao or cocoa powder if doing this.
